In a pioneering attempt to rise up to the climate change challenge, the Jockey Club CarbonCare Open Innovation Lab (COIL) has organized a video competition entitled Climate x Innovation Design Award(CIDA) for students and youths aged 35 or below. The competition aims to highlight the significance and urgency of some of the most pressing climate change and sustainability issues facing Hong Kong by means of creative videos. As a kick-off, the participants were invited to attend a briefing session held on 26 June, 2015. At the briefing, our panel of judges shared their insights and experiences with the participants, with a view to deepen the latter’s understanding of the challenges involved.
